I got my books I ordered today!!! After rereading again and again Pride and Prejudice and Emma and Sense and Senseablity I finally decided to try Austen's other novels Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park and Persuasion. I've already started reading!! I think I might even have to make a trip to Bath in September for the official Jane Austen Fesitival!! I wonder if there is a term for Jane Austen Fans? Like if you are a fan of Star Trek you are called a Trekkie or fans of Lost are Lostaways and so on.....maybe something like Austenanics?? Sometimes I wonder if it would be so bad to live in a world without the internet and cellphones and mp3 players oh the 19th century is calling me. If you want to travel even further back read Timeline by Michael Crichton!! I love time traveling novels even if it is rediculous! Or I should say I love books that make you feel like you are in another time period like Jane Austen. Her novels are the best for that as that is when they were written and aren't authors pretending that they know what it was like back then. Phillip Gregory does a pretty good job with her King Henry VIII books. The Other Boelyn and The Constant Princess and othe such titles.
