Dawn of the Dumb: Dispatches from the Idiotic Frontline

Polite, pensive, mature, reserved ...Charlie Brooker is none of these things and less. Rude, unhinged, outrageous, and above all funny, Dawn of the Dumb is essential reading for anyone with a brain and a spinal cord. And hands for turning the pages. Picking up where his hilarious Screen Burn left off, Dawn of the Dumb collects the best of Charlie Brooker's recent TV writing, together with uproarious spleen-venting diatribes on a range of non-televisual subjects - tackling everything from David Cameron to human hair.

    Great Stuff!

For the uninitiated, you've got a whole world of bitter, nasty, rude and hilarious rants against targets - both obvious and obscure - to enjoy. Brooker writes out loud what a lot of us only think about and no-one is safe, particularly not the stupid!

    Dawn of the Dumb

Hilariuos and acid tongued columnist Charlie Brooker lets loose on the idiosy that plagues humanity.

    Insert Fingers Into Socket Here

If you despair at the volcanic tide of inexplicable human sludge that rips through your television on an hourly basis, acerbic help is at hand. Let Charlie Brooker take you by the trembling hand and explain how everything is never really going to be alright. You can tell how much Charlie loves humanity, really, but it always lets him down by making so much terrible television, that it's only right he should want to boil us all from the earth in a fiery torrent of abuse. The man is sheer, frustrated genius. Read his book and exonerate yourselves of your terrible televisual sins!

    Dawn Of The Dumb

Those who've read Brooker's articles in the Guardian and seen his TV shows will know exactly what to expect (this book is taken from his previous writings for TV). For the uninitiated, you've got a whole world of bitter, nasty, rude and hilarious rants against targets - both obvious and obscure - to enjoy. Brooker writes out loud what a lot of us only think about and no-one is safe, particularly not the stupid! This a real reviewer at work and whilst he may sail close to the mark (not a bad thing in these days of stifling political correctness), he would be the first blame himself for being part of the ridiculously celebrity-obsessed culture we live in. Great Stuff!
