Dead Witch Walking

The first book in Kim Harrison's light, but oh-so-much-fun Rachel Morgan series of books, starring a down on her luck bounty hunting witch, and her partners come-roommates, Jenks the pixy and Ivy, a self loathing living vampire.
To avoid spoilers all I will say is: if you enjoyed the early Anita Blake books, give it a shot. Ditto if you liked the Dresden Files.
To quote a reveiw in a well-known Sci-Fi mag: 'It's like the finest crack-cocaine, you know it's bad for you, but you just don't care!' And hey, gotta love a series that six books in can still make great puns of the titles by adding a supernatural twist to classic Clint Eastwood film titles...
