  If you love fantasy books and adventures with mythical beings you will enjoy this book. The sequal to Eragon. This book is full of love,loss and devotion to Eragons duties to becoming a dragon rider and helping The Varden * warriors* to defet the evil king.If you wish to be wisked away to a land of dragons and battle this is the book for you!

  Delight at length

  Judging by length, reading Christopher Paolini’s ‘Eldest’ seems like trekking around the world for days on end. Judging by quality, it is a great plot that would delight those who love fantasy and the ‘Harry Potter’ series. Being the second book of the ‘Inheritance trilogy’, it largely relates to the first book, ‘Eragon’, and tells how the dragon rider travels to Ellesmera to extend his training in order to defeat Galbortorix, the notorious ruler of Alagaësia. Meanwhile, his cousin undergoes a mission of his own, trying to save his village from evil allies of the Empire. The separate stories are intriguing on their own, but the thrill lies near the end when the two combine and make a very unpredictable and meaningful climax. The conclusion however, was a little disappointing because the build up of tension wasn’t released very convincingly. Although the ending wasn't as breath-taking as I had wanted, the plot is fantastically created with clear imagery and skill. Yes, the thickness of ‘Eldest’ can put off many, but those who desire a book with unforgettable adventures and original characters, I suggest spending your free time in the magical lands of Alagaësia.
