The human race, forever fighting one another, are united in their struggle for survival after the Earth is attacked by an alien race. This in itself doesn’t make for a particularly original story, however, this is as much about the individual’s survival within a harsh establishment and the innocence of childhood (or rather the loss of it) as it is about the survival of a species. An enjoyable read which saves the killer twist until the very end.
