Definitely one of Hornbys best works. This is packed with middle aged angst and wry observations on life. It's so true to life that it makes it a moving tale as well as a funny one.
Well worth checking out.

This is one of those books I never picked up until after I had seen the film, however, after reading it, I now know how much more it has to offer. Hornby writes in a way that makes you feel
that he has delved into your memory banks and put down on paper how you felt in situations about love, jealousy, commitment and fear. This is about Rob Fleming trying to sort out his relationship problems with Laura, but it could be anybody in their 20's or 30's at that difficult point in their life.
