'Just Listen' is the first book I've read by Sarah Dessen, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Once I got into it (a few chapters in) I found myself unable to put it down.
The characters are all very real, and deal with everyday problems and decisions, like eating disorders, boy trouble, etc...
This story is about Annabel, a high school student and model, who has experienced something terrible, which has left her isolated and alone. She eventually meets a boy, Owen, who manages to befriend her, and get her to open up. It's a fast-paced, moving story, which has immediately made me want to read more from this author.
This really is teen fiction at its best.

'Just Listen' has a great storyline dealing with a very senstive issue but in an extremely tactful way. Annabel has everything anyone could really want until one night at a house party everything changes. Although her family are all having problems Annabel tries to hold things together until she meets Owen... A boy who maybe will 'just listen' and allow the events of that night to be unfolded. A great teen read, which some people may find upseting!
