Bookseller review
John Green has created personalities that both genders can relate to, be joyful for and cry for. It is beautifully written and stays in my head for days after reading it. "Looking For Alaska" is one of my all time favourites and after reading it I could pick it up and start all over again. I would recommend this book to any teenager regardless of their reading tendencies.

I first picked this book up because of it's brilliantly simple and tactile cover, but you're online so I'll have to rely on other things to sell this tale! This is a simple tale of one boy's search for meaning in his teenage life. Pudge goes to a boarding school where he befriends the Colonel and Alaska and the three of them proceed to have an intense friendship which other people only seem to scratch beneath. Told in a unique style of counting days down to one fateful day, this is a no holds barred tale which covers such vast topics as life, death, destiny and love. Alaska is easily the coolest female character I've ever read and John Green's emotive story telling is a roller coaster of humor and deep personal investigation.
