He has published three books on Austen, including Recreating Jane Austen , and is presently working on Austen and England: Critical Politics . His introductions to The Winchester Austen look at modern ways of understanding and interpreting the novels.Josephine Ross is the author of The Men Who Would be King , and has written television drama scripts and a number of histories and biographies, including The Winter Queen and The Tudors . Her most recent publication is Jane Austen: A Companion . Her introductions to The Winchester Austen cover the historical and social context, including the role of women and women and fashion.Caroline Sanderson is a devotee of Jane Austen and has made many trips visiting the locations of various periods in Austen's life and the possible basis of the places in her novels. Caroline's journey in search of Jane Austen is recounted in her latest book A Rambling Fancy . She is also a writer and reviewer for Bookseller magazine, and has written a travel book for children called Pick Your Brains About Greece .
