Please, forget the Arnie movies...

Too many people only know Conan from those awful Arnie movies, and they are missing out on a legend. Read the opening paragraph on page 25 if you can - it both creates a world and sends a shiver down your spine with just a few lines. Conan and his age are both complex and deep, with a quality of prose simply not found in modern fantasy. I urge everyone, genre fans or not, to read this. It is a classic in the truest sense of the word.
