Bookseller review
A wonderful and intelligent sci-fi classic which won both the Hugo and Nebula awards upon its release. It is at one end a rippling adventure story set on a far off world of barren ice and snow, and the other a view of how human society would have evolved if we did not feel sexual desire or lust but for a few days of the year. The book is as fresh and contemporary now as it was in the 60's. Highly recommended for fans of the genre and for people who fancy a change from the norm. Fantastic.
