Engagingly written. The plot takes us on a journey through the memories of a fifty year old who is now resigned to babysitting her aging husband. The shocking and sometimes explicit revelations of her past make for exciting reading, reminding us that behind every mother lies a story untold. This book kept my attention easily and was perfect for picking up in my coffee break! The only downside was that I wanted to read more of Pippa's youthful exploits and felt the chapters indulging her relationship with her daughter unnecessary.

This was a book filled with lurid images. The character and adventures of Pippa were repulsive from start to finish. This is the story of a pervert turned into phony lady bountiful--not my favourite type of character or stories. Boring, disgusting, not recommended.

A Brilliant read! A really engaging story. Struck a quirky cord with me and it was both funny and tender. Really loved that there is the image of this caring, "good" housewife trapped in a serene world with a whole "wild child" past behind her. Would recommend.
