The Tin Roof Blowdown
New Orleans is awash with corpses after Hurricane Katrina unleashes its awesome power. The Katrina novel
This the 16th in the Dave Robicheaux series but can easily be read as a standalone. James Lee Burke spares us nothing as Katrina unleashes itself on New Orleans, the book’s plot very much being second to natural disaster and it’s consequences. A lesser author would have produced sensationalist pulp; Burke writes the swansong of the city he loves.
