Delivery to a UK address

Borders online offers delivery to your home address or a work address. You will be asked to choose your delivery address when you make a purchase.

Depending on what you purchase, some items in your order may have different availability dates. You will be offered the choice of having each item posted to you as soon as it becomes available (select 'Separately' as the delivery option) or having all items in your order dispatched at once (select 'Together' as the delivery option). Both options are given when you make a purchase.

Please note, you will not receive free home delivery if any items from your order are cancelled, bringing the total order of eligible products below the £15 free delivery threashold.

Delivery service options

Books

Our standard delivery service for Books is by Royal Mail 2nd Class delivery or for orders weighing over 1.2kg by a trackable carrier service. The delivery time for this standard service is usually within 3-5 working days. We offer an Express delivery service, this is by Royal Mail 1st Class delivery or for orders weighing over 1.2kg by a trackable carrier service. The delivery time for this Express service is usually the next working day.

CD and DVD

Our standard delivery service for Entertainment products is by Royal Mail 1st Class delivery. The delivery time is usually the next working day.

If an order consists of Book and Entertainment items, these will be sent separately and by the appropriate service selected.

Free Store Delivery

Delivery to any Borders or Books etc. store is completely free. For more information on having items delivered for store pick-up, please visit our FAQs page.
