The latest update from Royal Mail is that the Members of the CWU have voted for industrial action and that there is a 2 day planned strike on Thursday 22nd October and Friday 23rd October.

Deliveries will be delayed during this period and it may take a few days for normal service to resume.  Please bear with us during this period as we will ensure that your order is despatched and delivered to you as quickly as possible. 

Free UK delivery to orders delivered to our stores and on all  orders over £20

We offer FREE delivery on all items when they are sent:

  • to your local Borders store for you to pick up, or
  • second class (3-5 working days from dispatch) with all items sent together (UK only)

Free delivery is not available on eReaders and eReader accessories.  These are sent out by a signature courier service and will usually be delivered the next working day. There are no delivery charges for eBooks.

Delivery times

  • Standard (second class): 2-5 days from date of dispatch.
  • Express (first class): 1-2 days from date of dispatch.
  • Courier (eReaders only) - next working day from day of dispatch

 

UK delivery options and charges

Once you’ve chosen your delivery option, you can’t change your mind.

It usually takes around 24 hours to get your Borders item(s) ready to send. Once they’re ready, we dispatch them from our warehouse. The delivery times given are from date of dispatch, not from when you place your order. For more information, please see our terms and conditions.

Can I change my address after I’ve ordered?

Delivery to other EU countries

This includes the Republic of Ireland:

  • Books: £3.99 plus 99p per book

Items are sent by Surface mail and delivery usually takes 7-14 working days from dispatch.

More delivery information

  • We don’t take any money from your card until your order is ready to send.
  • Delivery is by Royal Mail.
  • We’re not able to deliver to airports.
  • We’re not able to deliver outside the EU.
