Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has received her OBE from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace in recognition of her long and successful music career.
The 40-year-old singer, known for hits including I Should Be So Lucky, Tears on My Pillow and Spinning Around, has had a career spanning three decades.
Kylie, who was successfully treated for breast cancer in 2005, wore a cream Yves Saint Laurent dress for the ceremony and was accompanied by her parents Ron and Carol.
She told the BBC: "I was totally blown away to receive this... It makes me feel both humble and proud to be recognised for doing a job that I love so much."
"I was very excited and to have my family here was magical. I do feel very proud. I think my job, aside from making music, is about communication and this symbolises my communication with my audience around the world."
