Pop star Leona Lewis has signed a lucrative book deal with publisher Hodder & Stoughton to recount her rise from pizza waitress to X Factor winner.
Lewis won the TV talent show in 2006 and achieved huge success on both sides of the Atlantic, becoming the first British woman to debut at number one in the key US album chart last year with her record Spirit.
The book will feature over 100 pictures by acclaimed photographer Dean Freeman, who worked with David Beckham on the publisher's bestselling book My World.
Editor Fenella Bates said: "This will be the first time Leona tells her story of how the X-Factor launched her from waitressing in Pizza Hut in Hackney to stardom on both sides of the Atlantic.
"It is a real-life fairytale and every girl's dream. Her second album will be released just after publication - the timing for the book couldn't be better. 2009 will be Leona's year."
