Cera 'unsure' about Arrested Development

2009-01-14

Michael Cera's Arrested Development co-star Jason Bateman has confirmed that the 20-year-old actor is still "thinking about" signing up for the film version of the hit comedy series.

Cera shot to fame playing George Michael Bluth in the pseudo-documentary style series about a dysfunctional family.

Since the show ended, Cera's career has progressed considerably with him landing roles in the acclaimed films Juno and Superbad.

Bateman, who played Cera's dad in the series, says that the actor needs time to weigh up his options.

He told E! News: ""I know he's thinking about it. I think Michael is clearly the guy that has come out of Arrested Development with a very big plate, so I think he's trying to really give some responsible thought to what makes sense for him to do with his career.

"The guy is 20 years old and I'm sure he doesn't want to screw up this opportunity."
