Morrissey fans will be anxious to hear that he has hinted at retiring from music in the near future.
The 49-year-old music legend rose to fame in the 1980s with the iconic British indie band The Smiths.
After the group parted ways in 1987, Morrissey went on to enjoy a successful solo career and he continues to play live gigs and festivals.
However the singer songwriter, who is renowned for his witty, sometimes political and often controversial lyrics, said that he does not believe in carrying for many more years because it would be unoriginal.
"I don't want to go on much longer, really. I think that would suggest a lack of imagination. A certain lack of dignity also," the outspoken singer told Filter magazine.
"There has to reach a point where you've said enough, I think."
Morrissey's ninth solo album, Years of Refusal, is out on February 16th.
