How to order from the Borders website

It’s easy to order from Borders online. Choose from a great range of books, DVDs and magazine subscriptions.

You can also be among the first to enjoy new titles with our pre-order service. Just order what you want and we’ll send it to you the day it’s released.

How to order online

Step 1: Browse the site and find what you want to buy. To put the items in your basket, click Add to basket. This doesn’t commit you to buying anything – you can always take things out of your basket later.

Step 2: Once you’ve finished shopping, click My basket in the top right-hand corner. You’ll see everything in your basket and can take things out or add new things before going to the Checkout.

If you’ve already registered with Borders, simply log in. If you’re a new customer, set up a Borders account – it’s very simple and quick. We just ask for your name, email address and a password. This means it will be quicker to buy next time.

Step 3: At the Checkout, we ask where you want your items delivered and how you’re going to pay. This information will be encrypted to keep it secure.

Step 4: We send you an order confirmation email showing:

·     what you’ve ordered

·     the estimated delivery date

·     how much it costs

·     any delivery charges

We don’t take any money from your card until your items are ready to send to you.

Once we’ve got authorisation from your card provider, we’ll email you to say we’re processing your order.

Ordering online with Borders is highly secure, but if you prefer you can order by phone. Just call us on 0800 157 1577 (9am-5pm Monday-Friday). To make ordering quick and easy, have the product details and your payment card details handy.
