Placing your Order

Ordering from www.Borders.co.uk couldn’t be simpler.

Browse the site, find the products you want to buy and click the “Add to basket” button next to each product to put it in your basket. Putting a product in your basket does not commit you to buying it - you can always remove items later if you change your mind.

Once you have completed your shopping click the “My Basket” icon at the top right corner of the screen. This allows you to view and amend your basket before proceeding to the checkout where you will be asked to provide delivery and payment information. This information will be securely held in an encrypted format.

If you are a new customer, enter your details as requested. This will setup your account and login details so when you return to the site, future purchases are much easier. If you are a returning customer simply login and confirm your order.

Once you confirm your order we will email you with the details. At this stage we will pre-authorise your credit card for the order value but no money will be taken from your account at this stage. Your order will then be packed and dispatched to your chosen delivery address. It is only at this point that your credit card will be charged with the value of the order.

During the checkout stage you have the option to have the items shipped separately or to wait until all items are available. You can also select addresses for the order to be delivered to or even find a Borders store where you can pick the items up. If, because of a product is not available Borders chooses to send them separately you will still only be charged the postage charge agreed when you placed the order. Pre-Orders

www.Borders.co.uk will make some new releases available to order before they are released so that you can have and enjoy new titles on the day they are launched. Where this is the case you can order the product and we will dispatch it to you on its release date so you can be one of the first to own it. Payment will only be charged to your card when we have your order ready to dispatch to you.

Order Receipt

For your security, when you confirm your order we will carry out a series of standard pre-authorisation checks with your card provider. Should the transaction be declined by your bank your order will not be accepted unless you provide alternative payment details. Once accepted you will be sent an email confirming that www.borders.co.uk has received authorisation from your bank and is processing your order. Order Confirmation

Once you have confirmed your order during the checkout process we will send you a confirmation email detailing product quantity, cost, delivery estimate and any delivery charges.

Ordering by Telephone

We take your security seriously, but also understand that some customers prefer to order by telephone. Our Customer Services team will be only too pleased to help. Call us on 0800 157 1577 to place your order. The more details you have to hand (product details, payment cards details) the easier and quicker we will be able to process your order.

Payment security

Please note that www.Borders.co.uk is only able to accept payment from credit cards that have a UK billing address. We may automatically cancel any orders that are received containing non-UK billing details.

Borders is fully committed to providing a safe and secure website for your enjoyment. We work with a number of security partners and with the major banks to ensure that all information is kept secure and that payment details are not divulged to any other parties.

When will I be charged?

You will be charged only for items that are available for dispatch. The agreed delivery charge is levied on the first dispatch. As we dispatch items we will email you.

Billing

If there is a problem processing payment for all or part of your order, we will contact you by email.

In order keep your payment details secure Borders does not keep your card details on our servers. Our payment processing partner is a leader in this industry and is PCI/ DSS compliant to ensure the highest levels of online security.
