| Patrick Bateman, Wall Street banker and unashamedly shallow yuppy is chief among Easton-Ellis' wonderfully grotesque creations. He has the swagger of the newly-rich, the chiselled looks of perfection and the deep, dark blood-lust of a depraved psychotic killer. Absolute dark genius, but definitely not a work for the faint-hearted or the easily shocked. | |

| John Green has created personalities that both genders can relate to, be joyful for and cry for. It is beautifully written and stays in my head for days after reading it. "Looking For Alaska" is one of my all time favourites and after reading it I could pick it up and start all over again. I would recommend this book to any teenager regardless of their reading tendencies. | |
