Returns and exchanges

We want you to be delighted with your purchase from Borders whether it was purchased in one of our stores or online. However, if for any reason you are not happy with any items you have purchased from our online store, simply return the item(s) to us in their original condition and within 30 days of purchase, along with with your receipt, and we will gladly find you a replacement or refund your money. This is in addition to your statutory rights.

Products may be returned for a refund or exchange in one of two ways:

·         By returning it using the returns label that came with your order
·         In person to any Borders or Books etc store

Please note that purchases made in store can only be returned to any Borders store). 

Returns by post

When returning an item to us by post, please refer to your receipt paperwork that will have been included with your order. There is a brief returns form so you can let us know why you are returning the item and whether you would like a refund or a replacement. Please complete and include this form with your return, then use the returns address sticker and pop your return in the post.

Returns by post are made at your risk. We recommend that you use an insured registered mail service as returns not received by us cannot be credited to you.

Store Returns

When returning an item bought online to a Borders or Books etc store, you must show your invoice as proof that you purchased the product from us. Refunds will be made onto the original card used for payment on the original order. We regret that refunds cannot be made in cash. 

All returned goods must be in resalable condition, in their original packaging and with any security seals still intact. All returns must be made within 30 days of receipt of the product. We regret that we are unable to refund any postage costs incurred in returning item(s) via post.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you are returning an incorrect or damaged item purchased from www.Borders.co.uk we will refund the original invoice value for the item and your postage costs, to your credit card.

For all damaged and faulty returns your return delivery charges will also be refunded by us if the return is made in accordance with the conditions mentioned above.

Refunds will be credited to your payment card and cannot be paid in cash.
