Large folio, about 17.5 inches tall, in gilt decorated red cloth. 496 pages. The quality of the illustration is magnificent with full page, double page color reproductions, and four 4-panel gatefolds. In a book this size, that translates to about 4 feet wide. A magnificent production. The book is clean, bright and sound, but the head of the spine adjacent to the front cover has sustained a significant bump, showing creasing to the cloth almost 3/4 inch deep. The slipcase with red cloth ends and a wrap around illustration laid on, is clean and bright with a very slight bump on bottom edge and a repeat of the bump on the book but with less significant damage.
